Requirements
To attain the CIA certification, you must meet The IIA’s eligibility requirements, which include:
An active membership with The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
✔ Enrolling in the CIA program and registering for the CIA exam
✔ A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education, such as an associate degree with additional experience)
✔ At least 12 months of verified internal audit or equivalent experience
✔ Successfully passing all three parts of the CIA exam
✔ Compliance with the IIA’s Code of Ethics
